{"id":2085,"date":"2024-02-23T17:38:56","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T16:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chemsolutions.it\/?post_type=product&#038;p=2085"},"modified":"2025-06-18T10:46:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T08:46:24","slug":"3m-novec-1700","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.chemsolutions.it\/en\/product\/3m-novec-1700\/","title":{"rendered":"3M\u2122 NOVEC\u2122 1700"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>3M\u2122 NOVEC\u2122 1700 is a clear, low viscosity, low surface tension solution of a fluorochemical acrylic polymer carried in a hydrofluoroether solvent.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3m.co.uk\/3M\/en_GB\/company-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3M<\/a> for moisture and corrosion protection.<\/p>\n<p>It has excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. 3M\u2122 NOVEC\u2122 1700 is removable and repairable and does not need post-curing, is nonflammable, low in toxicity, non-ozone depleting and RoHS compliant.<\/p>\n<p>As an equivalent alternative, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chemsolutions.it\/en\/product\/promosolv-coat-ut10-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Promosolv\u2122 Coat UT 10 2%<\/a> is available.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Features:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Easy application and processing \u2013 dries quickly without the need for thermal post-curing<\/li>\n<li>Is easily removed for rework &amp; repair<\/li>\n<li>Allows solder-through repair<\/li>\n<li>Contains VOC-exempt (U.S. EPA) solvent that has low global warming potential<\/li>\n<li>Is thermally and electrically stable with excellent dielectric properties<\/li>\n<li>Can be applied to metals, glass or epoxy laminates<\/li>\n<li>Provides excellent repellency, antiwetting and anti-sticking properties against liquids \u2013 water, hydrocarbons, silicones, and photoresists<\/li>\n<li>Is insoluble in solvents such as heptane, toluene and water<\/li>\n<li>The polymer can endure up to 175\u00b0C for prolonged periods and maintain good repellency<\/li>\n<li>Has low surface energy, which allows lubricating oils, silicones, photoresist solutions, etc. to bead and drain freely from coated surfaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Application:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Can be dipped, sprayed* or selectively deposited. Water should be kept out of coating bath as contact will interfere with coating deposition. Surfaces to be coated should be clean and dried before application.
