3M™ NOVEC™ 7500 is a non-flammable fluid developed by 3M to replace ozone destructive substances (ODS) and solvents with high global warming potential (GWP) in many applications.

Features:

Due to its dielectric and inertness properties, this product can be used to replace perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and perfluoropolyethers (PFPEs) in a wide range of applications.

Its chemical and thermal stability, non-flammability and low toxicity make it useful for a variety of industrial and Heat Transfer applications.

Application:

• Semiconductors

This fluid can be used for cooling during semiconductor production.

• Test equipment

The fluid can be used to cool semiconductor test and thermal shock equipment.

• Electronic Cooling

Because 3M™ NOVEC™ 7500 fluid is compatible with most electronic components, it can be used for direct contact cooling, single and two-phase cooling of supercomputers and sensitive military electronics, as well as for cooling high-voltage transformers and power electronics.

• Industrial/Pharmaceutical

3M™ NOVEC™ 7500 fluid can also be used as an alternative to fluids commonly used in pharmaceutical and chemical production processes, such as freeze-drying and reactor cooling.

However, the main advantage of this fluid over a PFC or PFPE analogue is the reduction in global warming potential (GWP).

3M™ NOVEC™ 7300 is a clear, colourless, odourless fluid developed by 3M that is useful in a wide range of applications, including Heat Transfer, lubricant deposition, electronic testing and cleaning applications.

3M™ NOVEC™ 7300 fluid is non-flammable, thermally stable, non-ozone depleting and has a very low global warming potential.

The boiling point, wide liquid range and low temperature viscosity of this fluid make it ideal for cooling during semiconductor manufacturing.

This fluid is effective in mitigating the aggressiveness of solvents and is useful for inerting the flammability of mixtures.

Its chemical and thermal stability favour its use as a reaction medium.

3M™ NOVEC™ 649 is a clear, colourless, low-odour fluid developed by 3M to replace ozone destructive substances (ODS) and solvents with high global warming potential (GWP) in many applications.

3M™ NOVEC™ 649 fluid is compatible with a wide range of materials and requires no special piping or handling systems, it is also stable in storage.

Features:

Its high dielectric constant makes it safe for direct contact in most electronic and computer applications.

Its chemical and thermal stability, non-flammability and low toxicity make it useful for many other industrial and Heat Transfer applications, with a boiling point of 49ºC.

3M™ NOVEC™ 649 fluid must be used in a sealed system to avoid interaction with water; furthermore, fluoroketones such as this product, although reactive with water (i.e. a separate aqueous phase), are remarkably stable in its absence up to over 300°C.
