3M™ NOVEC™ 71IPA, a product formulated by 3M, is an azeotropic mixture based on 3M™ NOVEC™ 7100 and isopropyl alcohol.

3M™ NOVEC™ 71IPA fluid is ideal for light cleaning and degreasing jobs and has a low toxicological profile, with a time-weighted average exposure guideline of 750 ppm for the 3M™ NOVEC™ 7100 component.

Due to its formulation, low surface tension and consistent stability during vapor phase use, the product is ideal for precision cleaning, removing particulates, fingerprints and light soiling from metal, plastic and glass parts.

Features:

Tests on 3M™ NOVEC™ 71IPA engineered fluid demonstrate compatibility with a wide range of metals, plastics and elastomers, similar to the performance of perfluorinated liquids.

Good compatibility with particularly sensitive plastics, such as polycarbonate and PMMA; also absorbs fluorinated in plastics and elastomers upon prolonged exposure.
