PROMOSOLV 9000 has been specifically developed for the professional cleaning of motion picture film. In particular, it is designed for ultrasonic cleaning processes used in film archives and laboratories dedicated to restoration and digitization.
It is a colorless, low-odor fluid engineered to ensure high contaminant removal efficiency while enabling fast and effective drying within the cleaning cycle.
Why choose PROMOSOLV 9000
First of all, PROMOSOLV 9000 was developed in collaboration with Media Migration Technology (MMT, formerly Lipsner Smith). As a result, it is especially well suited for film cleaning equipment and can be considered a drop-in solution when replacing traditional solvents with more critical HSE profiles.
Moreover, the product is positioned as a like-for-like substitute for 3M™ Novec™ 8200 and 7200, maintaining equivalent proportions and properties according to the manufacturer. Therefore, it facilitates a smooth transition while preserving process continuity (subject to application validation).
Sustainability and environmental profile
Today, many organizations are seeking lower-impact alternatives. For this reason, PROMOSOLV 9000 has been designed with an improved sustainability profile: it features ODP = 0 and GWP = 55, helping to reduce environmental impact compared to solvents with higher global warming potential.
Operational safety
From a safety perspective, PROMOSOLV 9000 is formulated with particular attention to industrial use. Specifically, it is non-flammable and has no flash point. Nevertheless, as with any cleaning process, it is always recommended to validate operating conditions and materials of construction based on the actual equipment in use.
