3M™ NOVEC™ 7200 is a transparent, colourless, low-odour fluid developed by 3M to replace ozone destructive substances (ODS) and solvents with high global warming potential (GWP) in many applications.

Features:

• Zero ozone depletion potential
• Low GWP
• Low toxicity, with a time-weighted average exposure of 200 ppm (eight-hour average)
• Higher boiling point than most CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs, reducing evaporation losses
• Low surface tension and low viscosity, making it ideal for use in steam degreasing and cold cleaning applications
• Chemical and thermal stability, non-flammability and low toxicity make it useful for many other industrial and Heat Transfer applications.

3M™ NOVEC™ 7200 fluid is compatible with most metals and hard polymers. Soft and elastomeric materials must contain limited amounts of plasticiser.

Application:

• Cold cleaner
• Detergent and rinse for steam degreasing
• Carrier for lubricants such as fluorocarbons, hydrocarbons and silicones
• Special solvents, dispersion medium, reaction medium, reaction solvent, extraction solvent
• Replacement agent for CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs and PFCs
• Heat Transfer fluid.
