PROMOSOLV™ COAT UT10 2%, formulated by Inventec, is a hydrophobic and oleophobic thin-film coating suitable for protecting electronic boards from moisture, chemicals and dust. It adheres well to a wide variety of materials such as plastic, glass, metal and ceramic.

The coating is available with solid content of 2, 4, and 8 percent, which provides different dry film thickness.

When an immersion process is used, the 8% version is used to supplement the solid content in the coating bath in an immersion process.

Application:

The best process to use for the application of PROMOSOLV™ COAT UT10 2% depends on the operating conditions, equipment, time and cleanliness of the parts.

• Recommended dip process/spray application possible (especially for selective deposition)
• Typical coating thickness is about 0.2 to 0.5 microns with dip application
• Application to clean, dry surfaces is recommended
• Dry to the touch in less than one minute/does not require thermal or UV curing
• To manage the solid content in the paint bath, PROMOSOLV™ COAT DILUENT 10 is used to add the solvent and PROMOSOLV™ COAT UT10 8% (without UV tracer) is used to add the solid content
• PROMOSOLV™ COAT DILUENT 10 can also be used to remove coating or to clean nozzles and equipment.
