Conformal Coating

Conformal Coating is a polymer coating used to protect electronic components from environmental factors to which they are exposed, such as moisture, weather, chemicals, and dust; they can also prevent current leakage between closely placed components.

Typical thicknesses are between 25-250 μm; there are also products that form films of sub-micron thicknesses that provide equally high levels of protection.

They can be applied in a variety of ways, including by brush, spray, and dipping.

Drying or curing can take place at room temperature, by hot-air formo or by UV exposure.

The chemical nature of Conformal Coating can be acrylic, silicone, or urethane.

Each has its own characteristics for different purposes.

Chem Solutions through experience and cooperation with its partners is able to offer the most complete range of solutions for electronic board protection.
