UV LED technology is a fast-developing technology that enables a very fast working process and a smaller production line footprint, resulting in lower energy consumption (UV LED curing consumes 7.6 times less energy than infrared curing, source Exelsius).
The process starts with the application of a thin layer of product onto the electronic components.
This UV-sensitive product is then exposed to the UV radiation emitted by the LEDs.
The UV energy causes a chemical reaction that rapidly promotes polymerisation and forms a solid, protective coating.
